Key departures: Aimee Rothschild (Rochester Century) and Miya Ohashi-Berg (John Marshall) were two key captains for the squad last year.

Key returners: Mayo seniors Naomi Kennel, Ella Rowley and Molly Soderberg; John Marshall senior Sheyann Bertshinger and junior Harleigh Fridlund; Century sophomore Maddie Habberstad.

Outlook: Rochester Century will be a stand-alone team. Mayo and John Marshall will practice together and compete in meets but as two different teams. Kennel, Rowley and Bertshinger have all emerged as rising leaders. Soderberg, Fridlund and Habberstad are the top returners and current team captains. Maddie Woodford and Alexandra (Jacobs) O'Connell are two former Rochester gymnasts that have been added to the coaching staff. Rochester has a really good chance to have a breakout 2021 campaign.

Coach Jacobs: "If the gymnasts bring to the gym what we've seen in our virtual practices, I think we are going to see some real improvement in our Rochester teams. These girls are real troopers. I think we are really going to surprise a lot of people."
