Goodhue ran away from Lourdes for a 64-45 win. Joslyn Carlson scored 22 points. Elisabeth Gadient came off the bench to score 15 while Elissa Lodermeier chipped in 14.

Many believed Lake City would take a step back this year and rebuild after losing Nate Heise and Reid Gastner. But thanks to the contributions from junior forward Justin Wohlers and the incredible maturation of freshman Hunter Lorenson, the Tigers are right back atop the HVL Blue Division and expect be a force in the Section 1AA playoffs.
The Section 1 girls basketball tournament begins this week, with all kinds of contenders to make it to the state tournament, particularly in Class AA.
Zumbrota-Mazeppa's Ethan Kovars constructed a home gym to get ready for the 2021 wrestling season. And boy, the work has paid off. Kovars is off to a fabulous 19-1 start and he's not planning on slowing down anytime soon.
