ST. CLOUD — La Crescent saw its Class AA baseball state tournament run end in two games as the Lancers suffered losses to Minnehaha Academy and Foley.

The Lancers lost each game 11-5. They lost to second-seeded Minnehaha Academy in the state quarterfinals on Thursday and then to Foley in the consolation semifinals on Friday.

Brandon Von Arx led the Lancers with three hits against Minnehaha while Thomas Kiseau had two hits, including a triple, and two RBIs.

Bryce Weymiller suffered his first loss of the year for La Crescent. He went just three innings and allowed eight runs, five earned, on 10 hits.

Minnehaha was led at the plate by Dylan Kiratli with three hits, three RBIs and two runs.

Brock Brumley went six innings on the mound for the win and he also had three hits and two RBIs.

In the consolation semifinals, Foley knocked out La Crescent starter Cade McCool in the second inning.

Foley scored six times in the second to take a 6-3 lead.

McCool went one-plus inning and allowed four earned run on two hits and two walks.

Luke Schwartzhoff hit a three-run double for La Crescent in the top of the second to give the Lancers a brief 3-1 lead.

Schwartzhoff also came on in relief of McCool and allowed seven earned runs on nine hits in four innings.

Sam Wieser had two of La Crescent’s seven hits in the game. The Lancers finish the season (21-7).
