LAKEVILLE -- Lakeville North shook off a slow start to top Century 81-72 in non-conference boys basketball on Tuesday night.

Century led by as many as seven points early in the game, but ran into some trouble when Jack Fisher picked up a pair of quick fouls.

Lakeville North, a Class AAAA state power, surged to a 39-27 lead at the half, but Century was able to knock down some 3-pointers in the second half to pull within eight at one point.

"They did well, but got worn down the last four minutes," Century coach Jacob Vetter said of his team.

Nelson Koshiol was one of four Lakeville players in double figures as he scored 18 points and had four of the team's 10 3-pointers.

Fisher overcame his early foul woes to lead Century with a game-high 23 points and he hit three 3-pointers. Cannon Tweed tallied 14 points and Mark Leonard added 12.

"The guys competed, came back and worked the offense like we know we can," Vetter said.

Vetter added that the Panthers (0-2) have to do a better job of getting back on defense and rebounding better.
