Final Score: No. 1 Owatonna 43, No. 2 Century 6.

What happened: Owatonna scored two touchdowns in the first 1:58 of the game and was in command the entire way. Tanner Hall had both early TDs on runs of 27 and 26 yards. The host Huskies intercepted four passes in the game and also recovered a fumble. Century, which had lost 44-7 to Owatonna in the first game of the season, was held to 187 yards of offense. The Panthers had scored 89 points in their last two games, both against Mayo. With the loss, Century is still looking for its first state berth in football.

Records: Owatonna, ranked No. 1 in the state in Class AAAAA, improves to 10-0. Century, which was ranked No. 9 in the state, finishes the season 7-3.

What it means: No. 1-ranked Owatonna moves on to the state tournament for the fourth straight year. Owatonna will face the Section 3AAAAA champion St. Thomas Academy in the state quarterfinals at noon on Nov. 9 at Woodbury High School.


• Tanner Hall of Owatonna rushed for 104 yards and two TDs, both in the first 1:58 of play. He topped the 1,000-yard mark for the season in the game. 

• Owatonna quarterback Brayden Truelson was 7-for-14 passing for 126 yards and a pair of touchdowns. 

• The Owatonna defense limited Century to 187 total yards and forced five turnovers. 

• Jack Fisher caught five passes for 75 yards and scored Century's lone TD on a 15-yard pass from Nathan Eberhart late in the second quarter.
