MABEL – Grand Meadow rolled up more than 400 yards of total offense and won its fourth consecutive game, beating Mabel-Canton 39-6 in a District 9-South football game Friday. 

 

Dusty Copley led the Superlarks (6-1) with 16 carries for 158 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Evan Oehlke accounted for nearly 200 yards, as well. He passed for 112 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for 70 yards and two TDs on nine attempts. 

 

Grand Meadow finished with 419 total yards, including 307 rushing. 

 

Mabel-Canton finished with 194 total yards, 180 of them on the ground. Gavin Johnson led the way for the Cougars (0-7) with 157 rushing yards on 22 attempts. Dawson Wilder scored M-C's touchdown on a 5-yard run in the second quarter.

L-O HOLDS OFF LANESBORO 

 

LeROY – Lanesboro pushed the No. 2-ranked team in the state deep into the fourth quarter Friday night, but LeRoy-Ostrander remained undefeated by pulling out a 20-12 District 9-South win on its homecoming night. 

 

Senior running back Carter Johnson accounted for all three touchdowns for the Cardinals (7-0). Johnson ran the ball 25 times for 132 yards and three scores, while quarterback Chase Johnson passed for 36 yards and ran for 139. 

 

Riley Olson added three catches for 26 yards for the Cardinals, who had 313 total yards. 

 

L-O closes its regular season Wednesday at Kingsland, while Lanesboro hosts Lyle/Pacelli.

SPRING GROVE HOLDS OFF L/P

 

AUSTIN -- Spring Grove scored in the fourth quarter to survive an upset bid by Lyle/Pacelli to post a 20-14 victory.

 

Lyle/Pacelli (1-6) tied the game with 10:25 to play. Cole Walter tossed a 14-yard touchdown pass to Zach Bollingberg to pull the Athletics even.

 

Mitchell Reynolds then had a 27-yard TD run for the winning score as Spring Grove improved to 5-2.

 

Walter passed for 115 yards and two touchdowns.

 


 

 

BOE HELPS REBELS PAST KINGSLAND

 

ADAMS -- Nick Boe rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns to lead Southland past Kingsland 45-12.

 

Harrison Hannah rushed for 87 on just eight carries and two TDs. Hannah also completed 7 of 10 passes for 110 yards, including a 50-yard TD to Novell Jackson. Noah Lamp added 63 yards rushing on eight carries and the Rebels improved to 6-1.

 

The loss drops Kingslands to 1-6.
