No. 8 Mabel-Canton at No. 1 LeRoy-Ostrander: The Cardinals (8-0) are ranked No. 2 in the state and beat Mabel-Canton (0-8) 61-22 during the regular season. The Johnson brothers Carter, a senior, and Chase, a sophomore, have led an L-O offensive attack that averages 45.5 points a game. Chase Johnson, the team's QB, has rushed for more than 900 yards and passed for more than 1,000. Carter Johnson has rushed for more than 900 yards and more than 20 TDs. Riley Olson more than 600 receiving yards. Gavin Johnson has rushed for more than 1,000 yards for M-C, which averages just 13.6 points a game.
No. 7 Kingsland at No. 2 Grand Meadow: Grand Meadow's (7-1) lone loss was 30-19 to L-O. The Superlarks beat Kingsland 47-22 to open the season. Dusty Copley has rushed for 988 yards and 16 TDs for Grand Meadow, which averages 39.4 points a game. Evan Oehlke has passed for more than 600 yards for the Superlarks while Nolan Skifter has rushed for more than 400. Kingsland has struggled on offense and averages 15.6 points a game. James Howard has rushed for just over 250 yards while William Jahn has passed for more than 300.
No. 6 Lanesboro at No. 3 Spring Grove: Spring Grove (6-2) did not face Lanesboro during the regular season. The Lions lost to the top two seeds, L-O and Grand Meadow. Spring Grove QB Chandler Bergrud has thrown for a section-best 1,499 yards and 19 TDs. Caden Grinde has 684 yards receiving for the Lions while Mitchell Reynolds has 778 yards rushing. JT Rein has rushed for 453 yards for Lanesboro (3-5) while Seth Semmen has passed for 581 yards.
No. 5 Houston at No. 4 Southland: Southland (6-2) was ranked No. 7 in the state before suffering a 28-18 loss to Spring Grove in the regular-season finale. The Rebels suffered a narrow 26-21 loss to L-O during the season, but only nipped Houston 9-8 in the season opener. Southland sophomore QB Harrison Hanna has passed for 999 yards and 12 TDs while Novell Jackson has 424 yards receiving with 5 TDs. Nick  Boe has 500 yards rushing for Southland and Brendan Kennedy has added 318 yards. Wyatt Walters has more than 800 yards rushing for Houston (5-3) while Ben Walters has more than 600. QB Mikkel Schuette has passed for about 800 yards. The Hurricanes did not play L-O during the season.
