• In a battle of highly ranked Hiawatha Valley League volleyball powers, it was Kasson-Mantorville beating Kenyon-Wanamingo 3-0 in Kasson. K-M star middle blocker Mya Suess played like a star. That included her banging one massive kill in Game 3 that had the crowd roaring. K-M coach Adam VanOort was thrilled with his team's serving, which continually left K-W out of system and unable to comfortably set to its stars. K-M is ranked No. 5 in the state in Class AA; K-W is ranked No. 2 in the state in Class A. Suess had eight kills and five blocks, while Maddie Converse had 23 assists and five service aces for the Komets. Julianna Boyum had 5 kills, 3 blocks and 10 digs to lead K-W.

Daliso Chitulangoma and Jonathan Wright found the net for the Mayo boys soccer team as the Spartans battled back from a 1-0 deficit to take a 2-1 lead against visiting Austin, then settled for a 2-2 tie after two scoreless overtime periods.


Lilly Meister had a school record 16 ace blocks as the John Marshall volleyball team held off Mayo 3-2. 

 Max Comfere scored two goals in the first half as the Century boys soccer team knocked off Mankato West 3-0. 

Daniel Brown scored a pair of goals as Lourdes shut out Lake City 5-0 in boys soccer.

Jaidyn Brower had 34 assists and 16 digs as Stewartville toppled Zumbrota-Mazeppa 3-1 in volleyball.

Sarina Stortz had a big night with 18 kills as Mabel-Canton swept past Lanesboro 3-0 in volleyball.

Sam Pompeii scored a pair of goals as Byron blanked Schaeffer Academy 3-0 in  boys soccer.

Thomas Howard scored two goals as St. Charles played La Crescent to a 2-2 tie.

Abby Hinrichsg had seven kills and 32 assists as Plainview-Elgin-Millville defeated Rushford-Peterson 3-1 in volleyball.

Hadley Yoder had 14 kills as Fillmore Central swept past Southland 3-0 in volleyball.

Ella Wieneke had 14 kills in Century's 3-1 volleyball loss to Winona.
