AUSTIN — The Austin High boys hockey team continued its strong play as of late by tying Big Nine Conference championship contender Owatonna 2-2 in a boys hockey game Monday at Riverside Arena.

Ryan Flanders was outstanding in goal for Austin, making 45 saves to preserve the tie. Ben Stark and Garett Schaefer scored for the Packers (5-11-1 Big Nine, 6-15-1 overall). Casey Johnson had a goal and an assist for Owatonna (9-4-1, 13-8-1).
