Rochester Century's up-and-down volleyball season is on a big upturn as the Panthers head into the Section 1AAA playoffs this week.

Century (13-14 overall) has won six of its past eight matches and advanced to the championship match of the annual Exchange Club Invitational over the weekend at the National Volleyball Center.

The Panthers lost to Forest Lake, 2-0, in the title match.

Century reached the final by sweeping matches against Dover-Eyota and Irondale on Friday, and against Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Saturday morning.

Century will open Section 1AAA play on either Wednesday or Friday. The seedings are expected to be announced early this week.
