ROCKETS BLAST THEIR WAY TO TOURNEY TITLE

Rochester John Marshall had a terrific showing on Saturday at the Irondale Invitational, going 4-0 to win the tournament championship.

The Rockets beat St. Paul Central, Breck, White Bear Lake and Proctor en route to the tournament title.

"It was a great day of volleyball for the Rockets," coach Jessica Stellmaker said. "We were firing on all cylinders. Everybody did their job really well.

Katilyn Steffes led the Rockets with 48 kills, 19 digs, 8 ace blocks and 4 ace serves on the day. Mady Helvig had 33 digs and 10 ace serves; Amer Mabor and Lilly Meister were strong at the net, recording eight and seven ace blocks. And Chayse Paulson led the offense with 80 set assists and added 18 digs and 3 ace serves.

"It was all-around great team play and wins for the Rocket ladies," Stellmaker said.
