The Rochester Honkers put on an offensive show on Friday in their final home game of the season as they blitzed the Brainerd Lunkers 11-2 in Northwoods League baseball at Mayo Field.
The Honkers belted 15 hits en route to the win.
Rochester put the game away in a hurry, scoring nine runs in the second inning. They used eight hits in the frame, including a pair of doubles. In the third inning the Honkers got more fireworks, this time with a two-run home run by Ryan Hambright (Oregon).
The Honkers led 11-0 after three innings.
Tony Kemp had a huge game. The freshman from Vanderbilt went 4-for-4 and scored two runs. Johnny Coy (Witchita State) and Justin Kline (Presentation College) each had two RBIs for the Honkers.

D.J. Snelten (Minnesota) was the winning pitcher. He worked the first six innings, allowing two hits and no runs. He struck out six.
The win moved Rochester to 15-21 overall.
The Honkers now travel to Duluth to take on the Huskies. They play at 7:05 p.m. Saturday and 5:05 p.m. Sunday.
