WORTHINGTON — Rochester Community and Technical College brought its hot bats to a Minnesota College Athletic Conference doubleheader on Tuesday.
The Yellowjackets rolled to a sweep against Minnesota West Community and Technical College, winning 8-2 in Game 1 and 14-2 in Game 2.
In the opener, Tailor Raymond led the way, pitching the first five innings and allowing no runs on just two hits. Megan Scheid pitched the final two innings to preserve the victory.
Ashley Bunting was 4-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, while Shelby Davis was 2-for-3, Kim Meyerhofer had a triple and Katie Gatzlaff had a double.
Raymond pitched RCTC to victory in the second game, as well, going all seven innings and allowing one earned run on six hits.

Davis, Bunting, Raymond and Steph Russell had two hits each.
RCTC also swept Player of the Week honors in the MCAC for the third time this season, as Bunting was named the conference Player of the Week and Laura Chalmers was named the Pitcher of the Week.
The Yellowjackets improved to 11-1 in the conference and 15-10 overall. They play at Anoka-Ramsey on Friday and at St. Cloud on Saturday.
