L/P boys add to winning streak

LEROY — The Lyle/Pacelli boys basketball team won its fourth straight game Thursday night with a 75-48 defeat of LeRoy-Ostrander.

A trio of players scored in double figures for the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics in the Southeast Conference game. David Diang led the way with a game-high 24 points on the night.

Skylar Meyer recorded another double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, plus he had five steals and five blocked shots. Jordan Hart added 12 points in the road win.

"We were very active on defense with Diang and Hart each getting seven steals," L/P coach Casey Anderson. "The guys came ready to play and built a big lead in the first half. We kept the momentum going throughout the second half and it was a good team win."

Solid defense opened the door to the transition game and the Athletics got out on the fastbreak in the first half. The L-O Cardinals only scored 13 points in the first half and couldn't get back in the game.
