A second half scoring surge pushed the Riverland women's basketball team to a 61- 48 win over Northland on Friday night.
Brooke Rosenstiel scored all of her 13 points in the second half to spark the Lady Blue Devils of Riverland to the home win. Krista Viehauser led the way with a game-high 23 points on the night. Kenzie Martin was in double figures for the Lady Devils.
"Robin Arjes, Selena Gindratt, and Danyel Hythecker did a good job on the boards to help us pull away in the second half," Riverland coach Suzy Hebrink said. "I would like to see more scoring balance. Krista had another great game and Brooke came to life in the second half."
It was five-point lead for the Lady Devils at halftime. They then scored 34 points in the second half to get their record to an even 4-4 on the season.
