Lake City posts rare win over K-M
DODGE CENTER — Triton used a dominating ground game to roll past Winona Cotter 61-7 in Southern Football Alliance White Division action on Friday.
KASSON — Michael Noll rushed for 197 yards and three touchdowns as Lake City toppled Kasson-Mantorville 19-6 in Southern Football Alliance Red Division play on Friday.
It was the first time Lake City had beaten Kasson-Mantorville since 2003.
Noll had scoring runs of 2, 22 and 21 yards in the first, second and fourth quarters to help the Tigers build a 19-0 lead.
Luke Hartzell added 87 yards on 12 rushes for Lake City. Andrew Schmidt was 3-for-8 passing for 50 yards. Eli Custer caught two passes for 44 yards and also recovered a fumble on defense.
The Tigers had 297 yards rushing and 50 passing for 347 total yards.
Brendan Knoll had 107 yards rushing on 20 carries for K-M. He was also 11-for-33 passing for 122 yards, including a 14-yard scoring pass to Andrew Kirmse. Alec Ehlke caught six passes for 67 yards.
K-M had 280 yards of total offense, 158 rushing and 122 passing.

Byron rallies to defeat P-E-M
ELGIN — Byron quarterback Ryan Thompson passed for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter and sparked the Bears to a 24-21 comeback road win over Plainview-Elgin-Millville on Friday night.
Thompson, a junior, completed a 57-yard touchdown to Kip Knutson and then a 9-yarder to Jonny Mracek for the game-winner with less than a minute to play.
Byron (3-3) controlled the game with a 312-166 edge in total yards. Thompson finished 12-of-21 for 190 yards and three touchdowns. Caden Blazing caught a 21-yard score in the second quarter. Knutson caught four passes for 100 yards, and Mracek caught five for 66 yards.
For P-E-M (3-3), senior running back Bryce Heim rushed 18 times for 72 yards and a touchdown, and Chase Rahman was 10-for-61. Isaac Breuer also scored on a 3-yard run and Jacob Johnson on a 5-yard run for the Bulldogs.
P-E-M quarterback Brady Norton was 3-of-7 for just six yards passing.

La Crescent blanks Cannon Falls
La CRESCENT — La Crescent made a statement defensively Friday night, shutting down and shutting out Cannon Falls 14-0 in a Southern Football Alliance Red Division football game.
The Lancers (2-3 SFA Red, 2-4 overall) scored all of their points in a span of 1:19 in the third quarter.
Mario Miller caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Josh DeBoer with 7:43 to go in the quarter, then, just 1:19 later, Austin DeBoer scored on a 9-yard run to make it 14-0.
Cannon Falls finished with 86 yards passing and 104 rushing, for a total of 190. Mason Biessel completed 10 of 18 passes for 86 yards and an interception. Mason Hofstedt was team's leading rusher with 34 yards on five carries.
Nate Melhouse led the Bombers with 10 tackles and a sack, while Gabe Hall had nine tackles. Tanner Carlson and Logan Rechtzigel had seven tackles each and Kyler Banks had an interception.
