Brust's grand slam carries Redhawks
OWATONNA — The Rochester Redhawks salvaged a split on Tuesday in their doubleheader with Owatonna in First District American Legion baseball.
The Redhawks lost the first game 12-2 in five innings, then won the second 10-5 in eight innings.
In the Redhawks' win, David Brust hit a one-out grand slam in the top of the eighth. He also collected the pitching win, working the final two innings and allow no runs. Jared Campbell started and gave up five runs, just two of them earned.
Chad Korte had three hits for the Redhawks.

The Redhawks were plagued by errors in the first game, with seven of them en route to the five-inning loss.
Michael Stubbs had two hits for the Redhawks, who led 2-0 after the first inning before things fell apart.
