Due to the construction at the Rec Center pool in Rochester, both the Big Nine Conference and Section One, Class AA girls swimming and diving meets are being moved this season.
The Big Nine Conference Meet will be held this Friday and Saturday. The diving prelims will be held at Northfield High School and the swimming and diving finals will be Saturday at the University of St. Thomas.
"We wanted a pool that enough deck space for 12 teams, as well as a cool down pool," Mayo coach Juliet Parlettesaid. "Many pools (at schools in the Big Nine) do not meet that criteria, and the ones that do have been spoken for. The St Thomas pool is state of the art, so no one is complaining."
Mayo has won the Big Nine Meet the last two years and was undefeated in dual meets this season.
"We look to win, but it will not be a blow out like last year," Parlette said. "If we are all healthy, things should go our way. We are dealing with a few injuries at the moment."

Parlette said Mankato West and Albert Lea could challenge the Spartans for the Big Nine title.
The Rec Center is scheduled to be open in time for the Section 1AA meet, but the coaches opted to move the meet to the Shakopee Middle School because of deck space, a cool down pool and the uncertainty of the scheduled opening.
The section prelims are Wednesday, Nov. 11 with the finals set for Friday, Nov. 13.
