ST. CLOUD β€” For the second straight game, the Rochester Honkers got some excellent team pitching Thursday as they beat the St. Cloud Rox 6-3 in Northwoods League baseball.

The Honkers used four pitches in the contest. Anthony Rodriguez got the win. He worked two innings and allowed one hit and two runs. Dwayne Marshall pitched the first four innings (no runs), and Mitchell Allen and Keon Taylor finished things up.

Rochester, which is now officially out of the playoff hunt after splitting a doubleheader with Willmar on Wednesday, scored four runs in the seventh inning to get the win.

Allen had a hit, an RBI and scored twice. Ryan Wrobleski and Kyler McMahan each drove in a pair of runs.

The Honkers are now 18-16 overall, while St. Cloud slipped to 22-11. Rochester plays at St. Cloud again today at 7:05 p.m. It then finishes its season with games Saturday (6:05 p.m.) and Sunday (3:04 p.m.) at Mankato.
