Final score: Itasca 32, RCTC 28

What happened: Itasca rallied from a 28-8 deficit in the third quarter to score the game's final four touchdowns to nip host RCTC.

What it means: The win earns Itasca a home game for the first round of the state playoffs on Oct. 27. The loss costs RCTC a home playoff game and it play at Itasca in the first round.

Game notes: Itasca backup quarterback Brandon Hokkanen threw a 12-yard TD pass to Antwan Downs with 3:02 left as the Vikings vaulted from a 28-26 deficit into a 32-28 lead on what proven to be the game-winning score. And RCTC fumble set up the winning drive, which covered 25 yards/.

Records:  RCTC had its five-game winning streak snapped as it drops to 5-2. Itasca improves to 6-2.

Up next: RCTC closes the regular season at Minnesota State, Fergus Falls this coming Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

SATURDAY’S STARS

* Justin Lynn was just 12-for-32 passing in the windy conditions for RCTC, but he threw for 234 yards and three TDs.

* Severyn Foster caught four passes for 79 yards and a TD for RCTC while Phillip Hillesheim had four catches for 70 yards and a TD.

* Joshua Booker rushed for 97 yards and three TDs for Itasca.

* Javon McInnis was 15-for-29 passing for 171 yards and a TD for Itasca.
