WILLMAR -- The Rochester Honkers got another great performance from starting pitcher David Lemasters on Friday, but this time it didn't produce a victory. The Willmar Stingers scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to claim a 4-2 victory.

Andy Armstrong and Ryan Ober had two hits apiece for the Honkers, but the rest of the lineup managed just two hits and struck out nine times.

Lemasters tossed 5 2/3 innings, giving up two runs on five hits.

With the Honkers trailing 2-1 in the top of the eighth, Armstrong drove in Evan Berkey with a double to tie the game. But in the bottom of the eighth, Honkers reliever Mitchell Allen surrendered two runs on two hits, a walk and a hit batter.

The Honkers host Willmar on Saturday at Mayo Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
