Rockets dominate, but lose

John Marshall held the statistical advantage, but suffered a 1-0 loss to Mankato East in Big Nine Conference play.

JM held a staggering 27-4 shot advantage, but could not score a goal as Alexandra Miller made 18 saves.

Marta Anderson scored the lone goal in the first half for East.

Kristin Poe and Lauren Reuland both had good scoring chances for the Rockets, but were denied.

"Its been a strange season for us. The ball hasn't bounced our way," JM coach Stan Kuramoto. "I feel for the girls as they played great, they played their hearts out but could not find the back of the net. We had at least four chances in real close range, we also had numerous times where we had headers in the box but could not get the ball down and into the goal."
