LAKEVILLE — Rochester Mayo couldn't keep up with favored Lakeville North and fell 4-1 to the Panthers in the quarterfinal round of the Section One girls hockey playoffs Friday.
Lakeville North was the No. 2 seed, Mayo No. 7.
The Panthers led 2-0 after the first period, both goals on the power play. Mayo's lone goal was at 14:24 of the third period, by sophomore Emily Nelson. It was unassisted.
Mayo coach Jeff Phillips noted that it was a rebuilding year.
