Riverland got sloppy and let a double-digit lead in the second half slip away in a 79-76 overtime loss to Western Technical College in a men's college basketball game Saturday at Riverland.
The Blue Devils committed 23 turnovers, most of them in the second half, and Western Tech chipped away at what was a 14-point Riverland lead.
Riverland missed last shots at the buzzer of regulation and overtime. It was Riverland's second straight overtime loss, on the heels of an 87-86 setback to Fergus Falls on Wednesday.
"This was a very frustrating loss; we played very poorly," Riverland coach Scott Koenigs said. "There was noteam basketball; we played very selfish at times."
Sophomore guard Andrew Lau led Riverland with 24 points and sophomore guard Zach Bunch scored 23. Sophomore guard Marcus Ratliff added 16 points for the Blue Devils.
