Miller outstanding in Century setback

RED WING -- Rochester Century netminder Kelsey Miller turned in arguably her best performance of the season, but it wasn't enough as Red Wing earned a 4-1 Big Nine Conference girls hockey victory Tuesday night.

Miller finished with an incredible 66 saves on 70 shots.

Red Wing outshot the Panthers 47-6 over the first two periods alone, but Miller kept Century in the game. The Panthers trailed just 2-0 into the third period.

But the Wingers pulled away in the final frame.

Frankie Mickelson scored Century's lone goal, with an assist going to Kylie Lund.

Maddy Hardyman paced the Wingers with three goals. Kelsey Corcoran added two assists.

Tyler McGrath earned the win in goal for the Wingers, recording 13 saves on 14 shots.
