Brian Urlacher — No. 54 — wearing purple?
Say it ain't so, but it could happen.
According to Michael Sneed, a Chicago Sun-Times gossip columnist, the longtime Chicago Bears middle linebacker might sign with the Vikings.
Urlacher elected not to sign the Bears offer of a one-year, $1.6 million contract in March and is expected to sign elsewhere.
"Brian is leaning toward heading to Minnesota and is talking a one- to two-year contract," Sneed said, quoting a source "close to Urlacher."

Sneed said the eight-time Pro Bowler and a 13-year veteran, also is talking to the Denver Broncos.
Urlacher made $7.5 million a year ago, but managed only 53 tackles and no sacks over 12 games.
Brett Favre burned a few bridges in Green Bay when he signed with the Vikings and it appears that Urlacher may do the same with the fans in Chicago.
Michael Jordan once wore a Washington Bullets uniform and that turned out to be a disaster. Urlacher should take a cue.
