This could be the weekend that Tiger Woods ends his five-year drought of not winning a major golf tournament.
Woods went into today's third round of the British Open in a four-way tie for second place, just one stroke out of first place.
The Muirfield course in Scotland is playing difficult. Woods seems to have found his putting game and he can grind out a solid round on tough courses. If he continues to putt well, Woods should be in contention for his 15th major.
Fourteen other players are within three strokes of Woods and four shots of the lead. So the tournament could come down to an exciting conclusion. And if Woods is part of that excitement, the golf community should love it. Because when Tiger is near the leader board in a major, fans tend to be glued to the TV.
But if you want to watch the final round of the British Open live on Sunday, it will be an early morning. TV coverage begins at 5 a.m.
