ROCHESTER — The cross country teams from Austin Pacelli ran in the Section One, Class A meet at Northern Hills Golf Course on Thursday.
A pair of girls from Pacelli finished in the top 50 and one of the boys finished among the top 100 runners.
Dover-Eyota won the girls title with 64 points and Rochester Lourdes was the runner-up with 73 team points. Both of those schools qualified for the Class A state meet.
Pacelli finished 17th for the team tally. Madeline Kraemer was the highest individual runner for Pacelli in 30th place with a time of 17:03. Sarah Kahle finished 50th in a time of 17:43.
"It was a cold and windy day and we just weren't ready for those conditions," Pacelli coach Jim Parlin said. "Our times were slower than we were hoping for in this meet."

The third runner for Pacelli was Katie Ethen, who finished 101st in 20:09. Tiffany Hoesing was 125th with a time of 22:06, and Jwokamer DeBock was 130th at 25:58.
"It was great to be able to compete as a team in the girls race this year as we usually haven't had enough girls out in previous years," Parlin said. "I really feel we have something to build on as all of our girls will be returning next year."
• Winona Cotter won the boys team title with 49 points and Plainview-Elgin-Millville was the runner-up with 85 points. The top two teams go to state. Pacelli finished in 18th place with 525 points.
In the boys race, senior Dakota Biwer led Pacelli, finishing 94th with a time of 20:46. Stephen Juenger, also a senior, was close behind, finishing 101st with a time of 20:57. Eighth-grader Nathan Drees finished 108th with a time of 21:06.
The next three runners were closely grouped with Ben Kraemer in 131st place with a time of 22:51. Cole Ethen was 132nd in 22:52 and John Ethen finished 135th with a time of 23:58. Anthony Servellon rounded out the Pacelli team, finishing 136th and running a time of 26:39.
"Our boys team will need to replace three seniors, Dakota, Stephen, and John," Parlin said. "We will miss them next year and will need to get some other guys out to fill out next year's team. We do have some young runners who gained valuable experience this year and will help us to improve as a team."
