Lourdes 69, Pine Island 56

Rochester — Dillung Kullang and Parker Dunham led the way as the Eagles knocked off the Panthers.

Kullang finished with a game-high 16 points, while Dunham tallied 15 to go along with seven rebounds. Sam Theobald also finished in double figures with 10 points, while Adam Sellner added seven and Aidan Jahns chipped in six for a well-balanced Lourdes' offense.

Blake Schiltz finished with 15 points to lead Pine Island.

RED WING — Tait Deedrick was one of three to finish in double figures, leading Century with 16 points as the Panthers picked up their first win of the season.

Deedrick made four 3-pointers and also collected five rebounds for an efficient night. Ryan Ohm finished with 12 points, and Eli Thompson added 10 to go along with seven rebounds.

"It is great to get that first win under our belts this season," Century coach Jake Vetter said. "Red Wing plays a tough zone that gave us fits to start the game. At halftime, we made a few adjustments and our guys did a nice job of executing and knocking down some shots that help us stretch the lead that second half."

FARIBAULT — Mayo got off to a successful start in its season opener as the Spartans overpowered Faribault 57-34 on the road.

The Spartans (1-0, 1-0 Big Nine) opened up a big 36-13 lead at the half.

Mayo had strong scoring balance with three players in double figures. Isaiah Hanson led the way with 18 points and eight rebounds, and he made a trio of 3-pointers. Sawyer Markham knocked down four 3-pointers and he finished with 16 points while Alex Gyarmaty had 13 points and nine rebounds.
