ZUMBROTA — Ella Hopkins hit four 3-pointer and scored 14 points as Lourdes posted its sixth straight victory with a 43-28 victory over Zumbrota-Mazeppa in Hiawatha Valley League play.

Lourdes has allowed just 42 combined points in its last two wins.

Lourdes defeated Zumbrota-Mazeppa 43-28 in a girls basketball game on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023 in Zumbrota.

Vivica Bretton chipped in with nine points as the Eagles move to 14-2 overall and 8-2 in the HVL.

The Cougars did not have anyone with more than six points. They fall to 8-9 overall and 2-7 in the HVL.

ROCHESTER — Katelyn Hauser scored 20 points as Kingsland defeated Schaeffer Academy 58-49 in Southeast Conference play.

Anika Reiland chipped in with 14 points for the Knights, who won despite going 10-for-24 at the line.

Gabriella Buehler hit a trio of 3-pointer and had 16 points for Schaeffer while Blythe Morgan notched eight points and six rebounds.
