For the first time in Super Bowl history, the NFL's biggest game will feature teams that entered the playoffs as the No. 4 seeds in their respective conferences.
The Cincinnati Bengals will be aiming to win their first Super Bowl, having lost matchups against the San Francisco 49ers in 1981 and 1988.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams kick edged the 49ers to advance to the Super Bowl, which will coincidentally be at the home stadium for the Rams. This year marks the fifth Super Bowl appearance for the Rams, who previously have won once (in 2000).
The quarterbacks — Joe Burrow for Cincinnati and Matthew Stafford for Los Angeles — are former overall No. 1 draft picks, and have a complement of talented skill players around them.
Kickoff time for Super Bowl LV is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CST Sunday, Feb. 13. Live television coverage begins on NBC at 11 a.m.
