BRAINERD — The Rochester Honkers and Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers were intially delayed and then rained out of their Northwoods League college baseball game Friday evening.
The game will be made up in the second half of the season, Aug. 8, in Brainerd.
The Northwoods League has been tormented all season long by rain and other bad weather, causing many teams to lose games in the first half. The Honkers have had to postpone or suspend parts of five series so far, just a month into the season.
The Honkers return home for a two-game home series against the Mankato MoonDogs, starting tomorrow, Saturday, July 2, at 7:05 p.m. The two teams will have a quick turnaround for a 1:05 p.m. game on Sunday at Mayo Field. The Honkers will travel to Alexandria to spend their Fourth of July.
