RCTC easily wins wrestling dual meet

Rochester Community and Technical College had its first dual meet of the 2012-13 wrestling season Thursday night. It was a Minnesota College Athletic Conference dual with Itasca, and won 47-3.

The Yellowjackets competed in six tournaments since starting their season Nov. 3.

"We wrestled well," coach Randy Ranger said. "We wrestle (today), and we wrestle on Saturday. It is a pretty grueling spot in our schedule, and it will really show what our guys are made of mentally."

Carson Henry, Dillon Solberg and Zach Curry all scored pins for RCTC. Garrett Miller won by technical fall,.

RCTC wrestles St. Olaf at Northfield at 7 tonight, then returns to tournament action in the Minnesota/Iowa Duals Saturday in Mason City, Iowa.
