WILLMAR — The Rochester Community and Technical College women's basketball team had trouble rebounding Wednesday night and it cost it in a 63-56 loss to Ridgewater Community College.
RCTC was outrebounded 52-42. It also shot just 12 free throws, compared to 21 by Ridgewater.
"We need to be more aggressive," RCTC coach Steve Hucke said. "We didn't get to the free-throw line enough."
The Yellowjackets were led by Aly Meyer with 16 points and 11 rebounds. It was here 13th double-double of the season. Brittni Mayer had 17 points and four rebounds. She also totaled three three-pointers.
RCTC had 19 turnovers, while Ridgewater had 15.

RCTC is 13-10 overall and 3-6 in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference. It's in action at 1 p.m. Saturday at Riverland (Austin).
