RCTC's Bradford lands first in Augsburg meet

MINNEAPOLIS —Brett Bradford kept up his excellent wrestling to start the season as he finished first at 157 pounds in the Augsburg Open.

MINNEAPOLIS —Brett Bradford kept up his excellent wrestling to start the season as he finished first at 157 pounds in the Augsburg Open.

Bradford, a freshman from Byron, pinned teammate Deven Loepp in 3:40 in the title match.

Besides Bradford and Loepp, teammates Curt Palodich, Connor Hanson, Marcus Blount-McKinley and Dustin Lee all finished in the top seven.

Palodich won by technical fall over teammate Austin Peper (22-6) at 133 pounds in the third-place match. At 165 pounds, Hanson beat Southwest State's Nick Epsing 8-7 for third place.

Blount-McKinley was seventh at 165 pounds and Lee was seventh at 174 pounds.
