LEWISTON — Rallying from a 2-0 deficit in Thursday's volleyball match, the Southland girls won the next three games to beat Lewiston-Altura.
After losing a tight first game at 28-26, the visiting Southland Rebels never got things rolling in a 25-14 second game loss. The third game was another battle into extra points with the L-A Cardinals.
This time, the Rebels pulled it out for a 26-24 win and extended the Three Rivers Conference match. Southland won the fourth game at 25-17 and forced a decisive fifth game.
The two teams battled once again in the final race to 15 points. The Rebels (5-12 overall, 2-4 TRC) converted the key points down the stretch for a 15-11 win to take the match.
