CHANHASSEN — Red Wing trailed by two points, on the road against Chanhassen and had just 1.5 seconds left and the length of the floor to traverse in Tuesday night's Missota Conference boys basketball game.
Isaac Toivonen threw the ball the length of the court.
"We had the play set up to where Isaac throws the ball the length of the floor, but he overthrew the target and hit the center of the backboard," said Red Wing head coach Doug Toivonen.
It bounced right into the hands of Travis Toivonen, who tossed the ball in from 5 feet away as the buzzer sounded, giving the Wingers a 57-56 win.
Travis finished with 11 points and nine rebounds. Isaac Toivonen scored 11 points and Ben Miller 10.
