Play Ball! Minnesota, which sponsors the awards, is trickling out the announcements of finalists over its Twitter account, @PlayBallMNMrMs

Lakeville North shortstop Angelo Altavilla is another finalist who has been announced.

In Monday's Section 1AAA tournament, Buck — who is the team's closer — made a rare start and pitched seven shutout innings, striking out 10 and walking four. He also hit a three-run homer in the team's 4-1 win over John Marshall. Later in the day, R.W. was eliminated 9-5 by Hastings but Buck hit a three-run homer in his final high school baseball at-bat.

The 2015 Play Ball! Minnesota Mr. Baseball and Ms. Softball Banquet is June 14 at 6 p.m. at Target Field.
