MAPLE GROVE — The Rochester United FC women’s amateur soccer team tied on Saturday in its second game of the year, 1-1 with the MapleBrook Fury in Women’s Premier Soccer League play.
The contest was scoreless at halftime.
Rochester United’s Natalie Cooke scored early in the second half, using an assist from Anna Stiffler. MapleBrook evened things up midway through the period and then neither side could score again.
“We spent the last 25-30 minutes pressuring for the winning goal, but we couldn’t get it,” Rochester United coach Charlie Foster said.
The tie left Rochester United with 1 win, 1 tie and 0 losses.
