CHASKA — The Chaska Cubs scored a run in the bottom of the 10th inning to nip the Rochester Royals 7-6 in amateur baseball on Friday night.
The Royals had tied the score at 6-6 with a run in the eighth.
Matt Sturchio pitched a complete game for the Royals. He allowed seven runs on 10 hits. He walked six and struck out five.
The Royals had 12 hits. Dave Rojo and Ben Moen were both 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Joe Moen was also 2-for-4 and Drew Block drove in a run.
Jordan Stokes went 2-for-5 and scored a pair of runs and Tim Oesterlin hit a double.
