Lyle/Pacelli senior guard Colton Scherer is having an outstanding season. He's this week's spotlight athlete.

• Scherer, a senior guard, is one of the team captains and has been a key contributor all season for the Athletics.

• Scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds in a road game against Lanesboro on Feb. 4. Also had a pair of assists in that game.

• Hit double figures in a home game against Houston late last month. Scored 10 points in that game at the Pacelli Gym.

• Tallied four points and four rebounds in a win over Mabel-Canton in mid January. Had six points the night before that in a win over Schaeffer Academy.

• Put up his highest point total of the season on Jan. 13 in a road win over LeRoy-Ostrander. Netted a game-high 14 points in the first win of the season for the Athletics.
