CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

Douglas State Trail-- Trail conditions are good, hard packed and a little icy in spots. Conditions expected to decline over the weekend. Park has 4 miles of ungroomed cross-country ski trails, skiers must set their own track. Snow depth is 7 inches, trail base 4 inches.
Harmony/Preston Valley State trail-- Trail is good for skiing but the grooming is done to 6 miles south of Preston. Trail base 3-5 inches. Skiing fair.
Myre-Big Island State Park-- Big Island offers the best skiing conditions. The conditions are a little icy. Snowshoes available to rent at the park office. One mile of plowed hiking trail available east of park office. Trail base 1-3 inches.
Root River State Trail-- Skiing is good, tracks are set and we are expecting a light snow over the next couple of days. Trail base 3-5 inches. Skiing good.
