“We had our chances, we just couldn't convert,” Century coach Karen LaDue said. “Our defense (Annika Torbenson, Kristen LaDue. Reagan Illg and Brooke Hedin) just didn't give North anything to look at. We are playing with confidence and that is what you need to get to the top level.”

Century goalie Kate Kopp had five saves.

Lourdes 6, Lake City 0

LAKE CITY — Lourdes got better as the game progressed and emerged with a 6-0 Hiawatha Valley League win over Lake City.

Amelia Gossman led the Eagles with three goals. Lourdes coach Sarah Groven was particularly pleased with the play of her midfielders and also liked what she got from her freshmen.

"Our midfield play was much better tonight led by senior Kiara Haugen," Groven said. "Becca Cook and Grace Buntrock were big in the middle tonight for us. I was thrilled with the play of our freshman tonight. Anna Shedivy and Ella Shedivy had considerable minutes for us and backup goalkeeper Allison Restovich had an incredible game as well, completing her first shutout. "
