John Marshall scored twice in the second half to defeat Albert Lea 2-1 in Big Nine play on Tuesday.

Jordan Clark had five saves in goal for the Rockets while Brinn Kelly and Makayla Ziegler each scored a goal. Ziegler also had an assist.

The Rockets improve to 2-2 with the win.

"The teams chemistry and possession play is really starting to improve," JM coach Brian Dahl said. "We have a tough battle against Mankato West on Thursday."

Allie Restovich had two goals and an assist and Becca Cook also had two goals for Lourdes.

"It was nice too see the freshmen step up and make a difference," Lourdes coach Sarah Groven said. "It’s a big week with four games and the freshmen are contributing. Our defense had another strong game and I was very happy with our in field communication.

Lourdes (4-1) hosts PIZM on Thursday night.
