Camden Williams had 11 saves for the Rockets.

JM finished its season 5-6-4. That was a nice jump from last year's 2-9-1 record.

"As our JM boys soccer season came to an end with a defeat versus a strong Century team, I would like to congratulate coach (Hal Houghton) and his team with the amazing year they have had and wish them the best of luck in their upcoming playoff games," JM coach Abdul Noor said. "The JM boys had a great season to build up better than last year's season and we are very optimistic we'll do well next year, and I'm very happy and proud of all the hard work and desire they have displayed."

Mayo 4, Northfield 1

Mayo's defense was stifling and it was plenty to beat Northfield in the section quarterfinals.

The teams were tied at 1-all at halftime before No. 3 seed Mayo took over. The Raiders were the sixth seed.

"Our back line of Nick Crockett, Adam McLellan-Cassivi, Noah Bestrom and Alec McBane played very well together, limiting Northfield to six shots on goal," Mayo coach Tim Jennings said. "In addition, they did a great job of possessing the ball and initiating the attack, especially McBane, who had three assists in the game. Our players created several great opportunities and were clinical in finishing today."

Scoring for Mayo were Kole Fortshoffer, Mario Magnotto and Timothy Persons, with one goal apiece.

Next up for Mayo is a rematch with No. 2 seed Century in Thursday's 7 p.m. semifinals at Century.
