Runs were tough to come by on Thursday as Rochester Century's softball team traveled to Austin to take on the Packers.
Century pitcher Erin Ziebarth was the difference-maker, tossing a four-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts as the Panthers claimed a 3-0 win. It was her fifth shutout of the season.
Century head coach Chad Buchmann said the Panthers had plenty of opportunities. "We had runners on in each inning but had some line drives that were hit right to Austin," he said. "Erin did a great job until we could get her some run support."
Rachel Fink had three hits to lead Century's offensive attack, which was aided by seven walks.
Century closes out the regular season tonight, hosting Mankato East.
