ALBERT LEA — Rochester Century was on the wrong end of two one-run softball games on Saturday, dropping both games of a Big Nine Conference doubleheader against Albert Lea.
Albert Lea scored five runs in the sixth inning and won the first game 8-7. The Tigers also rallied from behind in the second game for a 7-6 with two runs in the sixth.
Century dipped to 2-4 overall and in the conference. Albert Lea is 4-6, 3-4 in the Big Nine.
"We have to go with pitcher by committee and we had some untimely walks that turned over Albert Lea's lineup to often," said Century coach Chad Buchmann. "The ladies did great job of putting the ball in play and we right there."
Century had 19 hits in the two games. Annika Zimmer was 3-for-4 in the first game, and Frankie Mickelson was 3-for-3 with a solo home run in the second.

Century plays a doubleheader at home Tuesday against Winona.
