HAYFIELD — Sam Macken had four hits, including a grand slam in the sixth inning Tuesday, as Rochester Lourdes beat Hayfield 10-3 in its softball season opener.
Macken finished with six RBIs.
Nicole Nelson added four hits and two RBIs for Lourdes. Morgan Maiers was the winning pitcher, going seven innings and striking out 11 while allowing eight hits.
Hayfield got three hits from Jessie Foster.
The game was tied at 3 going into the top of the sixth, when Macken hit her grand slam.
