ADAMS — Southland beat Randolph 56-26 on Saturday afternoon to win the title game of the Lady Rebel Classic Tournament.

It was a balanced scoring effort from the Southland girls in the title game. Brandi Schammel led the way with 11 points and Jana Schammel added 10 points.

A total of 14 different players scored on the day for the Rebels. They jumped out to a 22-point lead at halftime and remained unbeaten on the season.

"It took a few minutes to get going, but then we got aggressive on defense and created turnovers," Southland coach Bob Sheehan said. "In the second half, everybody chipped in and all the girls got to play in front of the home fans."
