The annual Stewartville Summerfest 3-mile and 5-mile walk/run is scheduled for Thursday, starting and finishing in and near Florence Park.
The 5-mile starts at 8:30 a.m. and the 3-mile at 9:30. Cost is $20 for each race or $25 for both.
The diverse course is run on city streets, through a school playground, paved trails, gravel road, country road, grassy meadow paths and dirt trails through Bear Cave Park.

Whitewater Kids Triathlon

The Whitewater Kids Triathlon for children 6-15 is scheduled for Thursday.
Start time is 9 a.m. at the Mel Brownell Aquatic Center.
Age divisions are 6-7, 8-9. 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15. Distances for the swim, bike and running events vary for each age group.
Entry fee is $20 for individual or $30 team.
Registration forms can be obtained at the St. Charles Family Chiropractic office, Studio A, St. Charles Athletic Club or the Whitewater Kids Triathlon Facebook page.
Joey Keillor won the first Rochesterfest Mile on Friday, winning in 4:20. Riley Macon was second in 4:23 and Shane Steele third in 4:33.
Sarah Schettle was the girls winner in 5:31. She was 10th overall. There were 51 finishers.
